Highlights: Mutitjulu Waterhole • Kings Canyon
Day 1: Alice Springs – Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Visit a camel farm for an optional camel ride (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon visit Kata Tjuta and explore Walpa Gorge. Travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Enjoy nibbles and a complimentary glass of wine whilst watching the sunset and the changing colours of Uluru.

Day 2: Uluru (Ayers Rock) – Kings Canyon
This morning join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk (Y41). Both tours include a visit to Mutitjulu Waterhole and the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. In the afternoon travel to Kings Canyon. There may be time to view the sunset behind Carmichaels Crag.

Day 3: Kings Canyon – Alice Springs or Ayers Rock Resort
This morning join a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness, sturdy shoes are required). An easier walk along the boulder-strewn canyon floor is also available. Enjoy lunch at Kings Canyon Resort (own expense) before travelling to Alice Springs or returning to Ayers Rock Resort. |
