Uluru, the iconic red monolith in the heart of Australia’s outback, is a must-visit destination for any traveller seeking a unique and unforgettable experience.
Most travellers stay between three to five nights in Uluru, making it a perfect long weekend adventure.
We offer exclusive Uluru holiday packages that will allow you to explore natural wonders, immerse yourself in local culture, and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Best Time to Visit Uluru
While Uluru is a year-round destination, the best time to visit is May to September, outside the blistering summer months.
Between May and September, expect daytime temperatures of around 20-30C, making it more comfortable to explore during the day.
Winter in Uluru is typically 20C during the day, especially in June and July. August is a little warmer, with very low expected rainfall.
Temperatures can drop to around 5°C at night, so be sure to pack a warm jacket for evening activities and tours.
Although rain is rare in the Red Centre, it’s possible to experience occasional showers during this time. However, this shouldn’t impact your travel plans, as most tours and activities will proceed as scheduled.
“Just to let you know we had a great time here in Uluru. Everything worked perfectly, the hotel and the tours were great. We made the right choice not over-exerting ourselves by doing any long hikes since the daytime temperatures here are still quite high.
The sunrise visit to Uluru was amazing. The tour company were great, and our guide was superb. The Field of Lights was also a majestic experience. During the day, we made use of the free activities and, of course, the pool.” – David, March 2025
